Currently based in Van Buren, Maine, tenor Thomas Segen's recently performed roles include his Seattle Opera debut as Tancredi/Tirsi in The Combat, and Otis in the world premiere of Kay Rhie’s opera QUAKE. He is the winner of multiple awards, including first prize in the 2016 Walter Jurmann Voice Competition. During the past year he has stayed active on the concert stage, performing and recording programs of folk and art song along with his wife Danielle. He holds a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from UCLA and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Washington.
